MTERI SAFARI LODGE

Mteri Dam is known as one of the best bass fishing dams in the world. As well as bass fishing, there is quality bream fishing. Most guests bring their own fishing boats, but there are boats for hire on site for either full or half day excursion, with an option for sundowner cruises.

HIPPO VALLEY SUGAR ESTATES

Mteri Safari Lodge is a 10,000 hectare game park on the Hippo Valley Sugar Estates only 25kms from Chiredzi town. Lake Mteri is roughly 975 hectares with an abundance of lay down and stand up timber, as well as thickets of reeds, grass beds and beds of lily pads.

WILDLIFE

Mteri is home to an array of different game. Drives through the park are an option where species such as giraffe, buffalo, leopard, and others can be found. Gameviewing from the boat is a given as many animals come to the waters edge to drink.

Mteri Safari Lodges

Accommodation consists of two lodges on the Lake: Nyari Lodge and Nhongo Lodge which are 200m apart (by boat). Self-catering facilities are available at Nhongo Lodge with cooking and washing up assistance offered by the staff. Both lodges are situated at the water’s edge. During the day, guests can cool off in the swimming pool or lounge in the communal area.
